Bio

Dillon Newell is a performing drummer in the Windsor-Essex County area. He started studying piano at the age of 4 and took up the drums and guitar as a teenager. He took private drum lessons for 5 years and continued his studies at Cambrian College in Sudbury. There, he majored in drums, minored in piano and guitar, and sang bass in the college choir.

After graduating from Cambrian with an Advanced Diploma in Music Performance and a Certificate in Music Production, Dillon began to seriously pursue performing in his hometown of Windsor. Since September 2019, Dillon has given hundreds of performances at dozens of venues and recorded at several studios around the city.

His study of Pedagogy in college and his experience with private students sparked his interest in teaching and brought him to Marie-Rose! A wide understanding of music theory and many different styles of music put him in a position to help students at many levels and with many different musical interests.
